Club CEO, Des Morris, led the group through a Sunday morning tour of the harbour, but with Des on Australian Selection duties, President Graham Andersen oversaw the trip to the Stadium where loyalties were divided in the main game.
Des Morris joined the group again for the after match drinks and snacks back at the hotel to discuss the big game.

Saturday 26th September saw the holding of the Club's 2009 Awards Night at the Broncos Leagues Club. A good crowd was in attendance to witness Anthony Boyd and Ryan Cullen take out the major awards for the State League team. The Club also took the opportunity to celebrate victories in the Grand Finals by the FOGS COLTS and the Second Division Premier Grade side who went through the season undefeated.
The evening concluded with the awarding of LIfe Membership to popular long time Sports Medicine Trainer, Noreen Wheatley. Noreen becomes the third female to receive the Club's highest honour.
"Rampaging Rabbitohs back-rower Dave Tyrrell was awarded the 2009 NAB John Sattler Rookie of the Year award at the Red and Green Ball at the AJC Royal Randwick Racecourse on the 18th September 2009.
Tyrrell burst on to the NRL scene in round 18 this year against the Panthers, saving possibly his most blockbusting game for the Broncos in front of home town crowd at Suncorp Stadium.
Tyrrell played seven top grade games in 2009, scoring a try against the Broncos, but impressing most with his defensive displays.
He is quickly earning cult status at the Rabbitohs for his long locks, earning himself the nickname ‘Caveman’. Tyrrell has gone for a new style for the NSW Cup finals with the North Sydney Bears, shaving his head for a more stream-lined look.
Tyrrell was presented his award by NAB’s General Manager of Agribusiness Khan Horne and Rabbitohs legend John Sattler. Previous winners of this award include Chris Sandow and Issac Luke.
Congratulations to Dave Tyrrell on winning the 2009 NAB John Sattler Rookie of the Year Award."
All Easts supporters have followed with keenness the progress of David Tyrrell as he has made the progression to the NRL with the South Sydney Rabbitohs. When the Rabbitohs trained at Langlands Park recently David took the opportunity to catch up with his old clubmates including his Colts coach, Jason Gainey who is now the Senior Coach at the Tigers

TIGERS COLTS DAY OF TRIUMPH
The 2009 season ended in glory for the FOGS Colts Tigers as they held on for a 30 - 28 victory over a fast finishing Souths Logan team at the Sunshine Coast on Saturday 12th September. A large crowd of Tiger supporters were on hand to cheer the boys to victory in a competition which has not been kind to the Tigers in the past few attempts at Grand Final victory. The current crop of youngsters cared little about history as they claimed their page in the Club's honour roll.
Event Film Crew, the team who produce match DVDs for each of the Qld Cup Clubs have posted highlights of many of the games on line. We will add the link as a permament button on the left edge of our web page but why not have a look to some of the action from the games to date. See all the action here.
The Official Launch of the long awaited book was held at the Leagues Club on Wednesday 8th October at 7:00 pm. A crowd of close to 100 people attended for the formal launch of the book and to take possession of their copies.
Club CEO, Des Morris welcomed all present and a minutes silence was observed for the Club's long standing Patron, Mr Jack Loth who sadly passed away the day before.
There are over 200 copies already pre-ordered and the finished product is stunning. Officials are confident the full run of 800 books will sell quickly and supporters are urged to get in early if they would like to secure a copy. The book is now available from the Leagues Club reception at $75 or may be ordered for delivery anywhere in Australia for only $12.50 extra. More news and pictures from the evening here.
